Good Times at Typhoon Lagoon

I’ve been wanting to visit Typhoon Lagoon for over a decade now and this past weekend I finally got a chance to go. I had a blast with a group of 12 friends from the Fernandina area. The dynamics of the wave takes some getting used to. It’s a fun wave but feels a bit slower than normal and the takeoff is unique, with the wave building from one corner of the tank signalled by a large toilet flushing sound. It will never replace ocean surfing but I would definitely do it again.
